Hello, My name is Phil and I'm an Artist-Researcher-Teacher and I have been lucky enough to present nationally at the Canadian Society for Education through Art's 'Visual Revival' conference in Halifax, NS, and internationally at the National Art Education Association's (NAEA) annual National Convention in both San Diego, California, in 2014 and Fort Worth, Texas, in 2013.
My professional interests include design, digital photography, robotics, sculpture, painting, and website design. My experience within the classroom includes teaching Computer Science at Lasalle College and teaching Art and Technology Education in Newfoundland and Labrador.
My professional highlights include - Wooden 'Punt' [boat] building on Fogo Island, NL; Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) in St. Georges, NL; and participating in Quebec's FIRST Robotics League as a mentor.
Currently, I am seeking full-time employment within a educational environment which encourages its learners to work together to identify and solve real-world problems through the creation of original art-works (ex. sculpture, performance, and installation).
